FiX ERR_GEN_MAPSTORE_2

 

This error is easy to troubleshoot but the actual cause may vary. The first step is to temporarily rename your Scripts folder to keep scripts from loading. If your game now loads without any issues then you know it is a script causing the issue and you might need to disable them one by one until you find the culprit. To stop a .dll script from running you need to rename it with a different extension like .bak, if not the script will still load and run.

Probable Suspects

This issue has been linked frequently to scripts for Benny's and also for Open Interiors. 

Other issues include:

1. Not having the proper version of SHVDN. Since the last Rockstar updates, many scripts have been broken and now require what is called a nightly build.
2. The .asi scripts in your root folder, where GTA V is installed, could also be responsible. Again, you will need to change the extension to .bak (for example) to keep any asi script from loading in game.

Remedy 2

It is also possible your save game got corrupted by a script. In that case, rename  your Scripts folder temporarily once more, start the game, and create a new save point. After that you can re-enable your scripts and hopefully that will fix the issue.
