I reinstalled my game and mods over and over and it's still broken. Why?

Reinstalling is generally a waste of time. Rockstar doesn't fix your mods when you reinstall because it doesn't install any mods, only the plain vanilla version of your game. I installed some mods with an OIV, can that be a problem?

I installed all the mods correctly, so why is my game crashing?

What do you mean by prepped?

For a modded GTA V game to load and run smoothly, you need more than just powerful hardware and an expensive video card. There are many other factors, but first you need to have these essential mods installed: Essential Mods

I installed a gameconfig mod. Isn't that enough?

A gameconfig mod doesn't guarantee anything. It should be considered mandatory but there isn't a one size fits all, there are many different configurations of this mod. Most importantly it isn't a magic bullet. Read more: The Gameconfig

I have all essential mods so why is my game still broken?

So what you're saying is I need to troubleshoot systematically, by process of elimination?

Yes, overall that's the ticket. You likely have too many mods installed or mods that conflict or both. You can quickly identify the culprit or culprits by disabling and re-enabling mods from the 3 sources: your mods folder, scripts folder, and the root folder.

Why can't I get answers on forums?

Very few people take the time to help on forums and those who will don't have the same hardware and mods installed as you do. Thankfully the process for troubleshooting is simple to follow so you don't need others to help you.  If you do want to ask for help, you need to provide information. Read this article.
